- Rabbi Isaac Saposnik, Director
Rabbi Isaac is a graduate of the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College. He has served as Assistant Director of Camp JRF and as Director of No'ar Hadash; under his guidance JRF launched the successful No'ar Hadash Israel Experience. Rabbi Isaac is a long-time Jewish camper and youth worker, having worked previously for URJ Olin-Sang-Ruby Union Institute and NFTY. He is a graduate of the Foundation for Jewish Camp’s Executive Leadership Institute. Having grown up in the Reconstructionist movement, Rabbi Isaac is thrilled to share his passion for creative and engaging Judaism with a new generation of youth. Rabbi Isaac is married to Jeanne Calloway, a second-grade teacher, whom he met at Camp JRF.
- Sheira Director-Nowack, Associate Director
- After attending The Ohio State University, Sheira received a Masters in Social Work and Certification in Jewish Communal Services from Yeshiva University. She has been in camping for over 20 years, working in Jewish residential camps as well as day camps. Most recently, Sheira served as the associate director for a Jewish camp for children who have learning issues and social skill disorders. Sheira is VERY excited to be part of the Camp JRF staff as the Associate Director. She is known for her sense of humor and outgoing personality. She has been married for the past eight years to Brian Nowack and together they adopted Madeline in 2005.
- Joshua Sternburg, Assistant Director for Operations
- Originally from Honesdale, PA, Joshua is a recent graduate of the Hornstein program at Brandeis University, where he completed an MA in Jewish Professional Leadership and an MBA in Non-profit Management. He previously worked as an Assistant Director and Conference Coordinator at URJ Camp George in Toronto. His passion for informal Jewish education and camping has led him to Camp JRF where he is excited about continuing his professional career in the field. Joshua is married to Natalie Marcus, whom he met while working at Camp George.
- Eve Maslin, Registrar
- Eve literally grew up at camp as a staff brat from age 5 and camper at URJ - Olin-Sang-Ruby Union Institute Camp in Oconomowoc, WI. In college, she was a counselor/educator and unit head at Camp Harlam. After graduating Rutgers with a B.A. in Hebraic Studies, she worked with the Jewish community and had four children along the way. She has continued to teach Hebrew for almost 30 years. Eve, a resident of Elkins Park, loves working for Camp JRF and speaking and e-mailing with parents and campers about everything from forms to JRF attire to lost bags, because everything is about the campers having a great time!
- Dale Kuntzman, Caretaker
- Dale came to Camp JRF from the Akron Area YMCA where he served as the Director of Grounds and Maintenance of the Camping Programs. He was responsible for the maintenance at Camp Y-Noah and the Akron Rotary Camp for children with special needs. He started his career working for the YMCA at Mogadore Reservoir as the Maintenance Director. Dale has a strong background in volunteer coordination, organizing several large scale events to promote social responsibility within the greater Akron community. He and his dog Ellie are glad to have joined the Camp JRF family as he puts his knowledge and experience into providing the best possible camp environment.
