Challenge
Course: At Camp JRF, we have a full high and
low ropes challenge course. Our challenge course director
is highly trained in helping you to safely push your limits
and try new things - giving you many opportunities to
climb to new heights. Complete with wire bridges, swinging
tires, repelling stations, a zip-line over the lake, and
much, much more, the challenges are endless.
Arts:
In our arts center, you can try your hand at
arts and crafts, pottery, tie dye, industrial arts,
and much more. In addition, we also have a full theater
with a two-level stage, sound and lighting equipment,
and seating for the entire camp. Coupled with practice
rooms, music studios, and a dance pavilion, the arts
play a major role at Camp JRF.
Sports:
Whether it be soccer, volleyball, softball, basketball,
ultimate Frisbee, roller hockey, tennis, or ga-ga, sports
are a major part of the program at Camp JRF. For expert
players and for those who want to try something for
the first time, there is always something new to learn
from our sports program. This is all done in an environment
that encourages healthy competition and great team spirit.
Trips:
Each of our eidot (units) leaves camp
once during the summer for an exciting overnight trip.
Younger campers go camping for a night to experience
the joy of cookouts, s'mores, and sleeping in tents.
Older campers leave camp for a longer period of time,
visiting local communities to do tikkun olam projects
and experience nature up close by canoeing or hiking.
These trips are a time for you to bond with your friends
and experience a different side of camping.
