A Letter from Rabbi Isaac Saposnik
Director of Camp JRF and No’ar Hadash

Camp JRF on the Aaron and Marjorie Ziegelman Campus continues to provide innovative, creative, and engaging programs for youth entering third through twelfth grades. We hope your children will join us this summer.

Our campers come from half of our JRF congregations and from more than 20 other communities around the globe. As an inclusive community, we welcome children from a wide variety of family structures, religious practices, and socio-economic backgrounds. At the center of our Reconstructionist philosophy is a deep commitment to building a community in which all are welcome to grow and thrive.

Experienced and well-trained staff members support our campers as they participate in all aspects of the camp program. To ensure the highest level of care, our senior staff is comprised of camp veterans as well as nurses and a community life specialist who pay close attention to the needs of each individual camper. Combined with a healthy kosher dining program and plenty of opportunities for physical activity, the camp program emphasizes healthy and active living.

Coupled with this is a strong emphasis on experiential learning, creative prayer, and meaningful religious experience. Supported by rabbis, cantors, and educators from across the Reconstructionist movement, members of the camp community are given a wide variety of ways in which to grapple with Judaism in innovative, engaging, and age-appropriate ways.

And it wouldn’t be summer camp without the fun of swimming, soccer, boating, tennis, volleyball, hiking, camping, music, drama, a spectacular challenge course, and arts that our dedicated specialty staff offers.

All of these pieces combine to create a summer like no other, during which friendships are formed and memories are made that will last a lifetime. At Camp JRF, we create a holistic camp environment for the holistic camper - providing varied opportunities for exploration and growth in a uniquely Reconstructionist setting. Please take the time to look through our website to learn more about our exciting summer programs.

Please don’t hesitate to be in touch with any questions. I look forward to speaking with you and to welcoming your children to Camp JRF for the summer of a lifetime.

Rabbi Isaac
