WAITING LISTS
Like we were last year, we expect to be filled to capacity for Summer 2010. While this is very exciting, it also presents us with a challenge: we do not have enough beds to accommodate all of the youngsters who want to be with us. In some of our units and sessions, we are currently taking a waiting list -- we have already filled every bed.
Currently, the following sessions having waiting lists:
-- Nitzanim (Boys and Girls)
-- Ilanot Aleph (Boys and Girls)
-- Nehalim Aleph (Girls)
-- Nehalim Bet (Boys and Girls)
-- Harim (Boys and Girls)
If you were planning to register your child for one of these sessions and have not done so already, we would encourage you to do so immediately so that we may place him/her on the waiting list. Sometimes spaces open up if another camper is unable to attend; we will let you know right away if a space becomes available. We will hold your deposit until that time.
In addition to the sessions listed above, many of our other units and sessions are almost full. We highly recommend that you register your child today in order to ensure that they have a space with us this summer. Campers are registered in the order in which we receive their applications; please do not wait to send in your application!
DISCOUNTS
Families with more than one camper may take $100 off tuition as a sibling discount for each camper after the first.
Tuition for campers attending for the full summer includes a $500 discount.
Please note: For Summer 2010, Canadian families may pay on par.
ADDITIONAL FEES
For campers who are not flying or being driven to camp, bus service from Newark Airport and Bethesda, Maryland will be provided at a cost of $100 each way (subject to sufficient enrollment).
Families who are not members of a JRF congregation pay an additional $200 annual fee.
FINANCIAL AID
Our goal at Camp JRF is to try and guarantee when possible that no camper is turned away from camp for financial reasons. We strive to make camp financially accessible to all camper families. For more information, please be in touch with us to request a scholarship form.
As the only Reconstructionist camp, we realize that some families may incur significant additional costs for travel. Travel subsidies may be available upon request for costs over $200 per child (up to $400) depending on distance from home to camp. The travel subsidy is separate from scholarship. Please visit the Parents FAQ section for more information.
